Beetle  Mint Leaf Beetle Eggs and Larva

Photo: G. Bradley

Here's what mint leaf beetle eggs look like. Approx 2mm long.

The eggs usually hatch within three weeks. From the moment the larvae hatch they're ready to start eating mint.

This is what the larvae look like at one week old. Ugly - but minty fresh breath.
