Triops are fascinating creatures that first came into existence during the Triassic era, long before T-Rex ruled the Earth.
Their eggs evolved to survive long periods of drought, only to hatch once there has been sufficient rainfall.
This rare characteristic enables us to safely store them until a time when it's
convenient for you to hatch them.
Their relatively simple care, fascinating behaviour, and short life-span, lends them excellent educational value, whilst being fun, curious pets too.
Triops can grow up to 5cm long, and live for between 20 and 90 days.
The small pack contains a packet of eggs that hatch into Triops once added to bottled water.
Box includes; food, water conditioner, eggs, and care instructions
Also includes a "Thermo-Strip" so the water temperature can be monitored.
Suitable for ages 7 to 107.
