Latin name: Brachythecium rutabulum

Size: Leaf size approximately 2 to 3mms long

Distribution: Found throughout the UK.

Months seen: All year round

Habitat: Bogs, lawns, woodlands and cliffs.

Special features: The branching shoots taper to a fine point and the edges of the wide leaves have very fine teeth.
