Owl Window Splat!

Do you think owls are careful, and skilful flyers?

Photo © Copyright 2005 Martin Teasdale

Think again.

Martin Teasdale, from Tonbridge, sent us this unusual photo. It shows the imprint left on his office window by what appears to be a Tawny Owl. The splat mark spans about one metre, and as there is no blood, or feathered body beneath the window, Martin assumes the bird flew off, probably a little embarrassed, but unhurt.
