This photo of a Dog Violet was taken by Dr. Steven Murray in Birch woods near Pontypridd, South Wales. The yellow background is created by a patch of Lesser Celandines. Camera used was a Canon 450D with a Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro lens.

2. Tell us how and where (town/county) you took the photo

3. Tell us the camera/lens you used

4. The shot can be anything related to wildlife/nature in the U.K.

5. Try to make it topical for the time of year
