Duke of Burgundy Fritillary by Judith Barnard

This female Duke of Burgundy butterfly was seen on the 18th May at Totternhoe Knolls in Bedfordshire. The Duke of Burgundy is quite a rare butterfly now. Special moments like this, where we can still come into contact with these beautiful creatures, are only made possible by careful conservation work.

Judith took the picture with Canon EOS 300D with a 60mm macro lens.
